About Blossom

Computing the way
it should be.

Blossom is an open source project building the desktop platform for people who want a computer that works for them, not against them.

Our mission

Digital independence
for everyone.

Modern operating systems have drifted away from users. Forced updates, dark patterns, data collection baked in, and software you never asked for. For European users and institutions, this also means personal data flowing to foreign servers with no regard for sovereignty. We started Blossom because we believed it did not have to be this way.

BlossomOS is our answer: a desktop OS that is powerful enough for developers, approachable enough for anyone, and designed to meet the sovereignty and privacy standards that European individuals and institutions actually need.

What we stand for

Our values.

Privacy first

We build software that respects you by default. No telemetry you did not ask for, no data sold to anyone, no foreign servers. GDPR-compliant from the ground up.

Open source

Every line of Blossom code is public. Scrutinize it, fork it, improve it. Trust is earned, not assumed.

Community driven

No corporate agenda. Decisions are made in the open with contributors and users who actually use the software.

Built to last

We focus on stability and longevity, free from foreign vendor lock-in. Software that works today should still work tomorrow, on hardware you already own.

Genuinely useful

Features are added because users need them, not because a roadmap said so. Quality over quantity, always.

Made with care

We sweat the details. From the window buttons to the boot experience, everything is thought through.

Support Blossom today.

Our funding comes from the support of our community and partners rather than from ads. This means we can keep building Blossom for the long haul without having to compromise on the product or your privacy.

Made by people
like you.

BlossomOS is built in the open by volunteers, designers, and everyday users who got tired of the alternatives. No corporation calling the shots. No agenda beyond making something genuinely good
